Leadership Appointments

Public reference for GOB leadership appointments, mandate status, continental leadership and the distinction between announced and pending roles.

Why appointment status matters

A growing international network can lose credibility if titles appear before mandates are formally established. GOB therefore distinguishes the existence of a role from the appointment of a person to that role.

Director General

The Director General is designed to lead operational implementation, coordinate project offices and connect continental structures to the institutional direction of the project. Until a formal appointment is published, the role remains explicitly marked as pending.

Continental Presidents

Each continental structure may be led by a Continental President. The office is responsible for network development, country coordination, member engagement and structured reporting within the relevant continent. Names and photographs are published only after formal appointment.

Country Coordinators

Country Coordinators support organization outreach, national communication and connection to continental leadership. They do not acquire diplomatic or governmental status by holding a project coordination role.

Public record

When appointments are made, GOB may publish the name, official photograph, role, territorial scope, appointment date or reference, and a concise mandate so external organizations can verify who is authorized to act in a given capacity.

Operational depth

This section explains how the public framework is expected to work in practice and how GOB protects clarity as the project grows.

How the reference is used

These pages are intended to give members, partners, journalists and external institutions a stable source of public information. Where a role, policy or partnership can affect external reliance, GOB should direct readers to the current controlled page rather than asking them to infer status from a social-media post, old presentation or informal message.

Public verification

A strong institutional record separates the existence of a structure from the status of a person or agreement. Appointments are published after formal confirmation, active benefits identify their provider and terms, and policies are linked from the relevant operational page so readers can verify the rule that applies.

Change management

Institutional information can change as the project grows. Material changes should be reflected consistently across the website, structured data, public directories and notices. Where an earlier statement has been superseded, the current page should make the new status clear without creating a misleading impression that the older state never existed.

Relationship to members

Member organizations participate inside the GOB framework without losing their own legal identity or management responsibility. The project can set conditions for use of its name, programmes, partner benefits and institutional introductions, while the member remains responsible for its own decisions, finances, staff, volunteers and public positions.
