About GOB

Identity, purpose and institutional status

What is GOB?

Global Organization for Bridges (GOB) is a strategic project of MYCDIC designed as a network and support framework for eligible Moroccan and African organizations, diaspora structures, individual supporters and institutional partners.

Is GOB a government body?

No. GOB is not a ministry, embassy, consulate, diplomatic mission or governmental authority.

What is the relationship between GOB and MYCDIC?

MYCDIC is the institutional parent and strategic framework of GOB. GOB has its own project identity, membership framework and programmes while remaining institutionally linked to MYCDIC.

Why was GOB created?

To address practical gaps faced by associations: institutional capacity, digital systems, access to opportunities, cross-border partnerships, knowledge and affordable professional services.

What does “One Voice, One Future” mean?

It is a cooperation principle, not a requirement for political uniformity. Participating organizations keep their own legal identity and lawful positions.

Who founded GOB?

The website identifies Moataz KOBRY as founder of GOB and links the founding role to the project’s development within the MYCDIC framework.

Who is the Director General?

The Director General is currently listed as “to be announced soon”. GOB does not publish a name before a formal appointment.

Eligibility & membership

Who can join and what approval means

Is GOB only for Moroccan associations?

No. Moroccan organizations remain central to the project’s roots, but eligible African organizations and relevant Moroccan/African diaspora organizations can also apply.

Can African NGOs apply?

Yes, when they fall within the intended scope and can provide enough information for GOB to assess identity, activity, leadership, legality and institutional fit.

Can a newly established organization apply?

Potentially yes. Age alone is not treated as a quality test. Newer organizations may be eligible when their legal basis, leadership, purpose and activity are credible.

Is there a minimum number of members?

The application asks for active members, core team or regular volunteers to understand organizational scale. Size is considered in context rather than as the only measure of credibility.

Can an informal initiative apply?

The organization route is mainly intended for organizations that can demonstrate a lawful and identifiable structure. An informal initiative may be asked for more information or redirected to another route.

Does acceptance make us part of MYCDIC?

No. Membership does not create a MYCDIC branch, office, agency or representation mandate. Your organization remains legally independent.

Does GOB membership count as government accreditation?

No. GOB membership is a programme relationship and should not be presented as governmental registration, accreditation or diplomatic recognition.

Can membership be suspended or ended?

Yes. Serious policy breaches, fraud, unsafe conduct, misuse of identity, material inaccuracies, legal or reputational risk and other policy grounds can trigger restrictions, suspension or termination.

Cost & member benefits

Free membership and third-party advantages

Is GOB organization membership free?

Yes. Core GOB organization membership currently has no GOB joining fee and no annual core membership fee for approved organizations.

Will core membership always be free?

The current policy is free core organization membership. Any future change should be published through official GOB policy channels before it applies.

Can a free member still have to pay for something?

Yes. Travel, events, third-party software, professional services or optional partner products may have costs. Those are separate from the core GOB membership fee.

Does GOB guarantee discounts of 90%?

No. GOB does not guarantee a permanent percentage. A particular partner may offer a significant discount, but the active offer must state what it applies to, who qualifies and any limits.

Can our association members use partner benefits?

Sometimes. A benefit can extend to verified individual members only when the partner agreement explicitly allows it and any required verification is completed.

Are partner discounts the same in every country?

Not necessarily. Territory, currency, tax, product availability, plan type and partner rules can make offers different by country.

Can we share a restricted benefit code publicly?

No, unless the partner explicitly permits it. Misuse can result in loss of the benefit and membership review.

Does GOB sell partner products?

Normally the partner remains the provider or seller. GOB may facilitate access but does not become responsible for every third-party product unless a written arrangement says otherwise.

Application & review

What happens before and after submission

What information do we need to apply?

The current form requests organizational identity, registration information, country/city, year established, team size, field of work, responsible contact, website where available, legal documents and a motivation statement.

Why does GOB request legal documents?

They help the admissions team understand the applicant’s legal identity and reduce the risk of admitting organizations that cannot substantiate who they are.

What should we write in the motivation statement?

Explain what your organization does, why GOB is relevant, what you want to strengthen or access, what you can contribute and what kind of cooperation would be useful.

Can GOB ask for more documents after we apply?

Yes. Additional information may be requested when documents are unclear, information is inconsistent or proportionate due diligence requires more context.

How long does review take?

The website does not promise one fixed review time. Timing can depend on completeness, application volume, country context and whether clarification is required.

Can an application be approved with conditions?

Yes. GOB may use conditional approval, limited programme access or a request to resolve specific issues when that is more proportionate than immediate rejection.

Will GOB explain every rejection in detail?

GOB may provide useful context but can withhold confidential risk information, third-party material, security methods or information it is not permitted to disclose.

Can we reapply after a declined application?

Potentially yes when the reason for the earlier decision can be materially addressed. GOB may set conditions or a reasonable waiting period.

Programmes & opportunities

What members can realistically access

What programmes does GOB work on?

Programme lines include institutional development, digital capacity, opportunity curation, capacity building, partnerships and member advantages, knowledge/research and network cooperation.

Does membership guarantee grants?

No. GOB can curate calls, help members understand requirements and sometimes facilitate partnerships, but external funders make their own decisions.

Can GOB write our grant application?

GOB may provide templates, guidance or capacity building where available, but the applicant organization remains responsible for the truth and quality of its submission.

Does GOB guarantee participation in international events?

No. Places can be limited by eligibility, invitation, programme capacity, geography, cost, safeguarding and other conditions.

Can GOB help us find a partner in another country?

Yes, when the request is specific and a credible match exists. GOB cannot guarantee that the other organization will accept the cooperation.

Can we propose our own project to GOB?

Yes. A useful proposal should explain the objective, beneficiaries, roles, resources, timeline, safeguards and what you are asking GOB to contribute.

Can GOB help with websites and professional email?

Digital capacity is one of the project’s support areas. The exact level of delivery depends on programme capacity, readiness and the agreed scope.

Will GOB manage our association for us?

No. GOB can provide tools, training or support, but the organization remains responsible for its governance, finances, staff, members and legal duties.

Network, Africa & diaspora

How cross-border participation works

How does the Africa Network work?

Eligible African organizations can participate in relevant programmes and be connected to Moroccan, African or diaspora counterparts where there is a credible cooperation objective.

Does GOB have official representation in every African country?

No. GOB avoids claiming a country presence simply for promotional purposes. Country coordination should be announced only when an actual mechanism is authorized.

What is the role of diaspora organizations?

They can connect communities and institutions across countries, contribute local knowledge, identify experts and participate in cross-border projects while remaining responsible for host-country law.

Can a country coordinator call themselves an ambassador?

Not on the basis of GOB coordination alone. Country roles are network and administrative functions and do not create diplomatic or governmental titles.

Can organizations from outside Morocco and Africa join?

The organization route is primarily designed for Moroccan, African and relevant diaspora organizations. Other entities may fit better as institutional partners or supporters.

Partners, supporters & representation

How institutions and individuals engage

Can a company partner with GOB?

Yes. Possible models include member benefits, technology access, training, expertise, programme collaboration and other defined arrangements.

Can a university partner with GOB?

Yes. Universities can cooperate through research, training, student engagement, faculty expertise, events and international cooperation.

Can a foundation support GOB members?

Yes, while retaining its own independent funding decisions and eligibility rules.

Does a partnership mean GOB endorses the partner?

Not automatically. A partnership applies to the agreed scope and should not be interpreted as endorsement of every product, service, opinion or activity of a partner.

Can an individual join GOB?

Individuals can engage through the supporter route as professionals, experts, mentors, volunteers or other contributors rather than organization membership.

Does supporter status allow me to represent GOB?

No. Supporter status alone does not authorize official representation, signing or public commitments.

Can a member organization put the GOB logo on all its materials?

Not automatically. Logo and co-branding use must follow the identity rules and any specific authorization granted by GOB.

Can a member say it is “accredited by GOB”?

That wording should be avoided unless GOB formally creates and defines an accreditation programme. Ordinary membership should be described as membership in the GOB network.

Privacy, records & complaints

How information and concerns are handled

What happens to the documents we upload?

Application documents are used for membership review, due diligence, administration and related legitimate purposes described in the Privacy Notice. They are not intended for the public directory.

Will our application information become public?

Not in full. Public profiles use selected organizational information appropriate for discovery and transparency. Sensitive or private records are handled separately.

Can we ask GOB to correct our information?

Yes. Organizations should contact GOB when public or administrative information is inaccurate or materially changes, subject to applicable recordkeeping requirements.

How can we report a complaint?

Use the official Complaints page or contact route and provide enough information for responsible review.

Can GOB keep records after membership ends?

Some records may be retained for legitimate legal, security, safeguarding, audit, dispute or administrative purposes as described in the Privacy Notice.

Are automated systems making final membership decisions?

The public policy framework does not present membership as a fully automated decision. Consequential membership and risk decisions should remain under appropriate human oversight.

Strategy & institutional development

8 additional practical questions

How does GOB decide which services to build first?

Service development should follow recurring member needs, available capacity, risk, and the ability to define a responsible delivery process. A useful service is prioritized before a decorative feature.

What are the GOB Strategic Priorities 2030?

The 2030 framework focuses on continental coordination, dependable member services, digital infrastructure, high-quality partnerships and measurable institutional value.

Does a strategic priority mean the activity already exists?

No. A priority is a direction for development. The website should separately identify what is active, what is being built and what remains a future objective.

How does GOB measure growth?

Growth should consider credible member participation, service use, programme quality, cooperation and operational readiness rather than relying only on country or follower counts.

Why does GOB emphasize institutional capacity?

Organizations are more likely to use partnerships and opportunities responsibly when they have clear governance, records, contacts, digital systems and decision processes.

Can GOB change a strategic priority?

Yes. Priorities can be reviewed when member needs, institutional capacity, risks or the external environment change.

Does GOB replace an organization own strategy?

No. Member organizations keep their own mission and governance. GOB provides shared infrastructure and cooperation pathways rather than taking over their planning.

What is the difference between a network and a federation?

GOB is presented as a governed project network. Membership does not transfer the legal identity or governing authority of participating organizations to GOB.

Continental leadership & country coordination

8 additional practical questions

What should a Continental President actually do?

The role is intended to develop the member network, support Country Coordinators, identify cooperation opportunities, maintain regional relationships and report through the central project structure.

Can a Continental President appoint anyone independently?

Appointments should follow the applicable appointment and delegation framework. A continental role does not create unlimited authority to create titles or commitments.

How are country priorities selected?

Country priorities should reflect actual member needs, local context, programme opportunities, partner availability and the wider continental plan.

Can a country network exist before a Country Coordinator is appointed?

A country can have member activity before a formal coordinator exists, but the public website should not invent an office holder.

What happens if a Continental President role is vacant?

Central GOB structures can continue administrative coordination until a formal appointment is made. The page should state the vacancy accurately.

Can a Country Coordinator represent a member organization?

The coordinator represents GOB only within an authorized project mandate. Member organizations retain their own representatives and legal leadership.

How are continental members displayed?

Approved public profiles can be grouped by continent and country using the central member directory or the relevant continental page.

Can a continental structure create its own rules?

Regional procedures can support local delivery, but they should remain consistent with central GOB policies and the authority formally delegated to the continental structure.

Membership operations

8 additional practical questions

What does onboarding add after approval?

Onboarding confirms the institutional record, explains policies, connects the member to the relevant network structure and identifies the first useful services or programmes.

Can a member be active without a public profile?

Potentially yes. Public directory publication is separate from the private administrative membership record and should follow the applicable publication basis or consent process.

What changes must a member report?

Material changes can include legal status, leadership, primary contact, organization name, website, public profile information or other facts relevant to eligibility and communication.

Does inactivity automatically end membership?

Not necessarily. However, persistent unreachability, obsolete records or failure to respond to material administrative issues can trigger review.

Can GOB restrict only one benefit instead of suspending membership?

Yes. A proportionate response can restrict a specific programme, public listing or partner benefit when the issue does not justify broader action.

Who owns the member organization data?

The organization remains responsible for its own records and information. GOB processes submitted information for defined project purposes under the privacy framework.

Can a member recommend another organization?

Yes, but a recommendation does not replace the normal application and review process.

Can membership be transferred to another organization?

No. Membership is linked to the approved legal or institutional entity and cannot simply be transferred to an unrelated organization.

Partnership operations & member benefits

8 additional practical questions

How does GOB evaluate a proposed corporate benefit?

The project should assess the provider, the actual member need, eligibility, pricing or access conditions, support model, material exclusions and reputational or security concerns.

Can a partner request exclusive access to all GOB members?

Any exclusivity would require careful review and clear justification. GOB should protect member choice and avoid hidden restrictions that do not serve the network.

Can a partner collect member data directly?

Only where there is an appropriate and transparent process. Member data should not be handed to a partner simply because a commercial relationship exists.

What is a knowledge partner?

A knowledge partner can contribute expertise, research, training, guidance or institutional learning rather than a commercial product.

What is a technology partner?

A technology partner can support digital infrastructure, software, cloud services, hosting, security or related tools under documented terms.

Can GOB charge a partner while membership remains free?

A partnership can have its own commercial or sponsorship terms without changing the current free core organization membership model, provided the arrangement is transparent and appropriate.

Can GOB publish a partner logo before an agreement?

The project should avoid presenting exploratory relationships as active partnerships. Public logos should follow the appropriate approval or agreement.

How are partner benefits reviewed over time?

Benefits should be reviewed for availability, usage, support quality, member feedback, changes in partner terms and continued strategic fit.

Trust, digital systems & public information

12 additional practical questions

Why does the website include a Trust Center?

The Trust Center groups the policies and controls that explain how GOB handles governance, privacy, safeguarding, complaints, representation and related institutional risks.

Does GOB use artificial intelligence to make final membership decisions?

The public framework does not present consequential membership decisions as fully automated. Material decisions should remain under appropriate human oversight.

Can GOB publish internal application scores?

Private review information should not automatically become public. Publication must have a clear purpose and respect privacy, fairness and record controls.

What happens if the website contains an outdated office holder?

The record should be corrected promptly and the underlying appointment register should be checked so public information and administrative records remain aligned.

Why are document references useful?

References can help distinguish approved records from informal copies and make appointments, policies or institutional documents easier to trace.

Will GOB create member accounts in the future?

A member portal can be developed as the digital system matures. Any authenticated system should be introduced with appropriate security, privacy and access controls.

Can a member request deletion of every record immediately?

Applicable rights depend on the data and legal context. Some information may need to be retained for legal, security, safeguarding, dispute or institutional record purposes.

What does digital security mean for members?

Members should use secure accounts, protect credentials, handle shared documents carefully and follow any security requirements attached to project systems or partner services.

Does the public directory prove government accreditation?

No. A GOB public profile shows participation in the project under its rules and should not be interpreted as governmental accreditation.

Can GOB correct a public statement made by a member?

GOB can request correction when a statement misrepresents GOB, MYCDIC, a project role, a benefit or an institutional relationship.

How should media requests about GOB be handled?

Requests involving institutional positions, partnerships, appointments or sensitive issues should be directed to the appropriate authorized contact rather than answered informally.

Why does GOB avoid publishing invented impact statistics?

Unsupported numbers can weaken trust. The project should publish metrics only when the measurement basis is defined and the underlying records support the claim.

No matching answer was found. Try a broader term or use the Contact page for a specific question.

Continental leadership & country networks

How GOB Africa, Europe, Asia, the Americas and Oceania are coordinated.

What is a GOB Continental President?

A Continental President is the appointed GOB leader responsible for coordinating project development across a continent. The role includes member-network development, country coordination, recruitment, partnership development, opportunity circulation and reporting through the GOB project structure.

Does every continent already have an appointed President?

No. A role should only display a name and portrait after formal appointment. Until then, the relevant continental page identifies the position as appointment pending rather than publishing an invented or informal office holder.

Can a Continental President admit organizations directly?

Continental leadership can identify, approach and support prospective organizations, but admission remains subject to the central GOB review process, applicable policies and any required documentation or due diligence.

What is the relationship between a Continental President and Country Coordinator?

Country Coordinators support local network development under the relevant continental structure. They help maintain local relationships and recruitment while escalating institutional, policy or cross-border matters through the Continental President and central GOB offices.

Does a continental title create diplomatic status?

No. GOB titles are project-governance roles. They do not create governmental, diplomatic, consular or public-authority status and must not be presented as such.

Where can I see organizations belonging to my continent?

Each continental page includes a controlled directory area. Organizations are shown only after admission and approval for public listing. Empty or developing regions are displayed honestly rather than filled with invented members.

Can the same organization participate across several continental programmes?

Potentially yes. Membership is linked to the organization, while programme eligibility can be geographic or thematic. Cross-continental participation depends on the relevant programme, capacity, partner conditions and the organization’s role.

Public record, media & verification

How to verify appointments, country structures, official notices, partner offers and public institutional information.

Where can I verify a GOB leadership appointment?

Use the Leadership Appointments page and the relevant leadership or continental page. GOB publishes a person as active only after formal appointment. Pending roles remain visibly pending rather than being filled with an informal or unconfirmed name.

Why does GOB use official notices?

Official Notices are reserved for changes that matter to the public record, such as appointments, policy changes, programme status or partnership activation. They help external institutions distinguish a formal status change from a routine news update.

Does GOB create a page for every country?

No. A country page should appear when there is enough leadership, member participation or real activity to justify a public structure. GOB does not create empty country pages simply to claim broader geographic reach.

How can I verify a Country Coordinator?

The Country Coordination Directory is designed to publish current country-level appointments when they are formally confirmed. A coordinator title does not create diplomatic, consular or governmental status.

What is the difference between GOB News and Official Notices?

News and Updates explain current activity. Official Notices record changes that affect institutional or public status. A programme story can be news; the formal appointment of a Continental President should be an official notice.

Where can a company propose a member benefit?

Companies and service providers can use the Offer a Member Benefit pathway. GOB reviews the usefulness, eligibility, provider terms, public wording and verification method before an offer is presented as active.

Does GOB publish impact numbers before they are verified?

No. GOB separates activity, outputs and outcomes. Impact and Results pages should explain the evidence method and avoid presenting targets, intended outcomes or incomplete records as established results.

Where can I find GOB policies in one place?

The Policies & Standards page provides a central route to membership, privacy, safeguarding, representation, brand, conflict-of-interest, partnership and trust documents.

Can universities work with GOB on research?

Yes, where the purpose is relevant and the research relationship is properly defined. University cooperation may include applied research, training, student engagement and knowledge exchange, subject to privacy, ethics and data requirements.

What does the MYCDIC logo before the footer mean?

It identifies the institutional relationship: GOB is a strategic project of the Moroccan Youth Council for Diplomatic and International Cooperation. It does not mean that a GOB member organization becomes a MYCDIC branch or governmental body.

Why does GOB publish an llms.txt file?

The file gives search and generative systems a concise map of the project’s main entity, membership, network, policy and knowledge pages. It complements, rather than replaces, normal website content and structured data.

Can I cite GOB information in a report or article?

Yes, public pages may be cited as sources. For appointments, policies, partnership status or institutional identity, use the current page or official notice and avoid relying on old screenshots or third-party summaries when a primary GOB source exists.
